HAL and its Programme Partners, The Legal Forecast, the John Monash Foundation, McCullough Robertson, the Queensland Council for Civil Liberties and QUT Law, are delighted to invite HAL members to what promises to be a fascinating presentation and discussion about democracy and its origins, and the challenges it faces in 2022.

Our keynote speaker is the Honourable Anthe Philippides, Former Justice of the Queensland Court of Appeal. After her talk, Her Honour will be joined, in a panel discussion, by Professor Graham Orr from the University of Queensland and Abigael Mawby, International Lawyer and John Monash Scholar, to further explore democracy in its historical and contemporary context.

Please join us for this wonderful event. The event is free. If you are not a current member of HAL, we would be grateful if you could join HAL or renew your membership.
