The SA Chapter of the Hellenic Australian Lawyers Association held the 2017 John Perry Oration, featuring guest speaker The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG.
This followed the successful John Perry Orations in 2015 and 2016.
The Hon Michael Kirby spoke on the topic “Justice Perry and the beneficial interface between Australian and International Law”.
The Oration was held on 22 September 2017 at the Adelaide Pavilion, in the presence of the National Patron of the Association, The Hon. Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia, and many other HAL members and guests.
Plans are underway for the 2018 Perry Oration in the second half of 2018.
